God Ranks Sixth
Kudos to Los Angeles Times religion reporter William Lobdell, who on Sept. 14 published an intriguing story about a conservative Christian pollster who found, among other tidbits, that:
•Divorce rates are no different for born-again Christians than for non-religious citizens.
•A majority of Christians vote from economic self-interest rather than spiritual or moral concerns.
•Having a "close, personal relationship with God" ranks only sixth in the life goals of most born-again Christians.
