DA readies grand jury case against Garofalo

"Garofalo's personality makes it hard to predict what he might do," said a longtime acquaintance. "He might say, 'You got me!' or he might just say, 'Fuck you!'"

The terms of a negotiated settlement are equally hard to predict, but sources say that the evidence against Garofalo is so strong that he won't get off the hook without pleading to multiple felonies and misdemeanors, as well immediately resigning from the Huntington Beach City Council and accepting a lifetime exclusion from holding public office.
