Addison Glines

1981 - 2001

Photo by Jack GouldOne of local theater's youngest, brightest figures passed away last weekend. Addison Glines, whose talents as an actor, director and theater enthusiast were unmatched in these parts, died on Nov. 2 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 20.

Fullerton College drama student Glines, the subject of a Weekly cover story in December 2000, brought talent and enthusiasm to everything he did. His last courageous act was to start the ADDYG Foundation, a nonprofit group designed to bring art to pediatric cancer victims.

His presence as a director and playwright will be sorely missed, as will his unflagging determination to wring every possible moment of joy out of life. In lieu of flowers, his family has suggested that donations be made to the ADDYG Foundation, c/o Kevin and Cindee Glines, 1545 La Salle Circle, Placentia, CA 92870.
